Finding a new job in a new state: Tracy’s Success Story

Tracy left his job as a hyrdo blasting supervisor in Alabama when he and his fiancé moved to Charlotte. While his fiancé was able to find work in their new city, he struggled to secure a full-time job.

He was referred to Charlotte Area Fund (CAF) for job readiness assistance and enrolled in the agency’s Readiness and Money Management classes. After successfully completing those courses, he completed CAF’s CDL licensing program.

Shortly after receiving his CDL, Tracy found work as a truck and equipment operator at Blythe Construction Co. Now self-sufficient, Tracy is enrolled in CAF’s home-ownership program and looks forward to buying a home soon.
