This exclusive training opportunity is designed to provide human resource professionals and agency leadership with practical applications and hands-on assistance in developing strategies to manage day-to-day HR employment concerns.

Meet the Facilitators

Currently, Demond serves as a Consultant for GoodBetterGreat Consulting. He has spent the last three years working with Region IV Office of Head Start’s Training and Technical Assistance Network as a Grantee Specialist Manager and Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator.He has spent over 20 years working with Head Start 

as an Intern, Contract Accountant, Benefits Coordinator and Human Resources Director. He began his Head Start career at Mississippi Action for Progress, Inc. as an Intern in 1993.

Demond’s career spans many different areas. One of his most exciting experiences was serving students as an adjunct professor in the School of Business at Mississippi College. He has a strong background in employee relations and a focus on staff morale and professional development.

Keno Simmons has a wealth of knowledge in working with children and families. His career path has afforded him the opportunity to serve more than 170,000 low-income children and families and 318 grantees in Region IV where he served as the Program Manager. Prior to joining the Region IV Team, he served as the Supervisory Program Specialist for the 

OHS Region XI, American Indian Alaskan Native (AIAN) in Washington, DC, serving 150 Tribal Nations consisting of 23,000 children and families in 26 states.  

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Fort Lauderdale and a Masters of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University, School of Law.  He is also a Registered Civil Mediator and Arbitrator in the State of Georgia.

Greg Hare has been a labor & employment lawyer with Ogletree Deakins for over 27 years – and he’s now the firm’s Managing Shareholder in Atlanta.  His practice focuses on assisting companies with HR challenges, government investigations, and employment litigation matters – such as wrongful termination, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and employment contracts.  He advises clients on HR topics like employee discipline and discharge, severance agreements, layoffs, family and medical leave, and use of independent
